A recent ERS (European Respiratory Society statement recommends using high specification disposable  in-line Bacterial/Viral Filter( with proven efficency for high expiratory flow of 600 to 700l/m) when conducting lung function testing during COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Remember that the NeumoFilt filtration efficency against bacteria and virus was certified by independent laboratories at 30, 55 but also at 750l/m.
